Yes. Same-day piercings are welcome at Beach Park Tattoo. Call ahead at (808) 782-3180 to confirm Maddie's availability before making the drive. Walk-in availability depends on the day's schedule.
All initial piercing jewelry is implant-grade titanium (ASTM F136) or solid 14k gold. Biocompatible, nickel-free, appropriate for fresh piercings. We do not use surgical steel, acrylic, or plated metals for new piercings. After healing, you can upgrade to a wider range of styles.
Pricing varies by piercing type and jewelry selection. Lobe piercings start at the shop minimum. Cartilage, nose, and specialty piercings are priced based on the procedure and initial jewelry chosen. Call (808) 782-3180 for current pricing on the specific piercing you want.
Healing varies: lobes 6-12 weeks, cartilage (helix, conch, tragus) 6-12 months, nose 4-6 months, septum 6-8 weeks. These are general ranges. Individual healing depends on aftercare, anatomy, and overall health.
Maddie follows the LITHA method (Leave It The Hell Alone) with sterile saline spray: spray twice daily, do not rotate or fidget with jewelry, avoid submerging in pools or ocean during healing, and do not change jewelry until fully healed. Detailed aftercare instructions are provided at every appointment.
Yes. Needle piercing is the professional standard: needles create a clean, precise channel; guns can crush tissue and increase infection risk; and guns cannot be fully sterilized between clients. Beach Park Tattoo uses needle-only piercing for all services. No guns, ever.
